This girl loves to read

This girl loves to read in bed, in the hammock, on the couch and anywhere she can steal an hour or two.  It's kind of a running joke in our house about this addiction of hers.  She can immerse herself so deeply into a book that she's able to completely block out everything around her (the boys wrestling on the couch where she's reading, Legos being flung around her head or my requests for dish duty).  This is not at all a concern for me however.  I know it's a gift.  Rock on Amelia!

    1. It's fun. My only problem now is that I can't possibly read everything that Amelia does! xo

  2. Yesterday's big event was the arrival of the latest Rick Riordan book in the mail. My three reading addicts gathered around as the box was torn open and the new book unveiled. The birthday gift was greatly envied and there was much jockeying for who would be second to read it.

    1. We don't have that problem quite yet but I'm looking forward to it! Good thing for you is that they probably don't have to wait to long to get a turn because they read so fast! xo

  3. Doesn't this sound familiar. And it is a running joke around our house how Celine can just tune everything else out and when she comes up for air she has no idea what conversations etc she's missed.

    1. How do they do it? Yes, conversations totally missed here too. I'm happy for her because I can't do that! :)

    1. Well...my son has a reading delay (according to the standards of our society) and he's going to do great things too! I'm just glad I've experienced both sides of the spectrum. xo
