love, february 18

Finally, finally we have some snow. I was beginning to worry. It's just been so warm here this winter. Yesterday the kids played in the snow until after dark and then came in very tired and very happy. As I write this, the snow is gently falling outside. I love snow.

The other day we were surprised to see this wild rabbit in our yard which is a first! They are all around the area but since the houses were built, they've been displaced. When I told Jonathan about it, he laughed and said, "rabbits love lettuce!"

Oh well, I don't mind sharing a little lettuce with them this summer.

  1. How fun! My kids would LOVE to see a wild rabbit in the garden, even if the gardener in me wouldn't.

  2. We have rabbits everywhere, even in the city! There wasn't too much collateral damage in our tiny garden last year but we will have to see what this year brings!

  4. Glad you're happy about the snow! We have warmer weather, but I think the snow will be coming again.
    Have a great weekend, Kyndale!

  5. Oh I think we might be for some more snow even though today it is 70 degrees or warmer.

  6. It has been such bizarre weather. I hear it is an El Nino year, though, which means warmer all the way through winter.
    And wet.

  7. Oh how I wish I could ship some of this snow to you to enjoy! Here in the northeast we are quite done with it! We had temps in the 60s yesterday...but down to the 40s today with 60mph winds!

Last spring I found a mama and baby bunnies living in our flowerbed...so precious

  8. Lucky you to have a wild hare within sight...perhaps a harbringer of spring? Kyndale, your posts on your house look just like ours! Did you build yours yourselves? We did. I'd love to see more...

  10. oooo he's cute. you may have to eat your words for sure. we got this motion sensitive water sprinkler that kicks on when our cats gets near our garden, thinking it is a divine litter box. it is so great, you know, just a little water. i wonder if that would work for little cute wild rabbits.
