In the directions she gave me it doesn't say anything about heating the milk. I'll let you know how it goes.Kerryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06140293064792420724noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8284789766928854442.post-14278131847659194552011-03-07T17:56:50.310-08:002011-03-07T17:56:50.310-08:00The boys and I just made Kefir ice cream with mapl...The boys and I just made Kefir ice cream with maple syrup this afternoon. It was actually tastier than making ice cream with yogurt. We have a new fav. We adore Kefir here and I really want to start making it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8284789766928854442.post-25842091333020077312011-03-06T21:13:25.040-08:002011-03-06T21:13:25.040-08:00I know nothing about kefir or why I should be eati...I know nothing about kefir or why I should be eating it. My boys ...I just recently tried kefir and loved it! My boys did too, well at least the oldest. I bought two jugs coming to date that were less than 1/2 price. Over a week in the fridge, past date, and it was still fine. Obviously the probiotics in there keeping it alive.

I'd love to learn to make it as the price was staggering, if it hadn't been marked down I never would have bought it. I just used the last of it in my spelt muffins today.erinhttp://erin-awildandpreciouslife.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8284789766928854442.post-15478350878336135682011-03-03T19:51:38.545-08:002011-03-03T19:51:38.545-08:00yay!! another fermented food to make at home. i h...yay!! another fermented food to make at home. i have been reading his chapter on vinegar. then perused wine and beer. i am so into that book. i love having my friends doing this. it is so inspiring. keep it up! cuz i depend on you for inspiration.heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07996180043043914028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8284789766928854442.post-67961632774341723042011-03-03T18:43:43.220-08:002011-03-03T18:43:43.220-08:00i used to make kefir all the time. i used grains ...i used to make kefir all the time. i used grains from a friend and then when mine got too large i'd split them and share them. do you reuse the grains?lorenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15576260806221642979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8284789766928854442.post-68219197245525199352011-03-03T17:49:47.112-08:002011-03-03T17:49:47.112-08:00ohh I'm inspired now to make my own. we just ...ohh I'm inspired now to make my own. we just healed my eldest daughters gnarly ongoing tummy bug with organic goats milk kefir. powerful stuff! : )Lady Cordeliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08460301461275849055noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8284789766928854442.post-5119917226497120792011-03-03T17:16:44.042-08:002011-03-03T17:16:44.042-08:00I've never had kefir but it's on my list o...I've never had kefir but it's on my list of things to try after I can do dairy again.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
